NPP 5: Openness

NPP 6: Access and correction
We will provide an individual with access to his or her personal information on
request to enable the individual to update or amend that information. To access
your personal information you may contact us.
We do not have to provide access to an individual’s personal information to the
extent that:
- Providing access would pose a serious and imminent threat to life or health of any
individual; or
- Providing access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of other individuals;
or
- The request for access is frivolous or vexatious; or
- The information relates to existing or anticipated legal proceedings between us

discovery in those proceedings; or

An enforcement body performing a lawful security function asks us not to provide
access to the personal information on the basis that providing access would be likely

NPP 7: Identifiers
We will not use as an identifier of an individual an identifier that has been assigned
by an agency, an agent of an agency acting its capacity as an agent, or a contracted
service provider for a Commonwealth contract acting in its capacity as contracted
service provider for that contract.
An identifier of an individual does not include an individual’s name or an ABN.
NPP 8: Anonymity
Where practicable, and where personal identification is not required, we will provide
individuals with the option of communicating with us anonymously.
NPP 9: Transborder data flows
We will not transfer your personal information to a recipient in a foreign country
without your prior consent and unless we reasonably believe the recipient of the
information is subject to a law, binding scheme or contract which effectively upholds
principles for fair handling of the information that are substantially similar to
the National Privacy Principles.
NPP 10: Sensitive information
We will not collect sensitive information from you, unless you consent or it is
required by law or in special circumstances. For example, to a health service or
for public health or safety.
